How much time would be required to complete the SSC CGL course? Also, how many hours one needs to put on a daily basis to clear the exam?

It varies from student to student. If you are fresh and don't have an idea on SSC CGL first understand the pattern and syllabus of the exam.
Then you have sections like Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Verbal ability and General awareness.
It would help if you had regular practice on each section one by one every day. If you want to know the exact time frame of completion, take two days per topic. In that way, you have to spend approximately 60 days for understanding the basics. If you want to be master in the Concepts, you must practice every day.

You need 3 to 4 months. First, you need to complete every topic within 45 days (every day at least 6 hours). Once you complete all the issues, you need to start taking mock as many mock as possible. Mock tests will help you increase your speed which is the crucial factor for all competitive exams. You need to practice mock tests as well as you need to revise side by side. Only by practising you can increase your speed, and it helps you to choose questions wisely. It all depends on your background knowledge in English and Maths! If you have a strong foundation already, it shouldn't take more than three months. But the practice is required a lot! Because the exam is time-bound and your speed should be good enough without compromising on accuracy!

It depends on how you plan your course work. Some people study 2 hours a day for ten months, while a few take 4 hours a day for five months. It depends on your capability. A lot depends on your background and how comfortable you are in maths and English because these two subjects are the game changer when it comes to mains. If you are well versed with the basics then dedicating 2-3 hours every day will suffice else you have to give more quality time. The practice holds the key, and once you are finished with preparations, you should provide as many mocks as possible to assess your preparation. Accuracy matters a lot and cuts off is increasing day by day, so you have to be at your best. It's challenging but not impossible.
